Role Overview

Viet Quan Restaurant is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality Vietnamese cuisine. As the restaurant experiences significant growth, this role is essential for streamlining back-of-house operations, maintaining compliance with UK food safety regulations, and optimizing efficiency. The Kitchen Manager will supervise staff, manage inventory, enforce hygiene standards, and collaborate with management to refine menu offerings, supporting the restaurant’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise daily kitchen activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.

· Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

· Oversee inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement of ingredients and supplies.

· Collaborate with management to design and update menu items, considering customer preferences and seasonal availability.

· Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation to maintain quality standards.

· Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a kitchen management role, preferably within a Vietnamese culinary setting.

· Proven expertise in Vietnamese cuisine, including traditional and contemporary cooking techniques.

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Commitment to Training & Compliance

To support a smooth transition, Viet Quan Restaurant will fully fund the Kitchen Manager’s UK food safety training, covering:

· Level 3 or Level 4 Food Hygiene & Safety Certification (as required for management roles).

· HACCP & Allergen Awareness Training to ensure compliance with UK food safety laws.

· Onboarding mentorship with UK-based food safety professionals and ongoing refresher courses.
